Preparation for Detailing - Stage Vehicle and Review Documentation | Skill Level 1 |

Detailing | Work Practices | 1.) Bring the vehicle into the workspace/bay and secure keys/fob outside the vehicle in the proper location. |
2.) Review documentation to make sure the correct vehicle has been chosen. Match the VIN to the repair order/estimate along with the customer's name and deliver schedule. | ||
3.) Do a walk-around to assess overall condition of the vehicle. Note any obvious issues (leaking fluid, unusual noises, strong odors, etc.) related or unrelated to the work performed. | ||
4.) Note and notify management of any currency, firearms, or other personal items in need of special care before work begins. | ||

Exterior Cleaning - Apply Tire/Wheel Cleaner | Skill Level 1 |

Detailing | Work Practices | 1.) Apply tire/wheel cleaner as directed by product manufacturer. (DO NOT USE ACID BASED WHEEL CLEANERS ON PAINTED OR ALUMINUM WHEELS). |

Exterior Cleaning - Wash Vehicle | Skill Level 1 |

Detailing | Work Practices | 1.) Rinse entire vehicle from the top down. Remove all larger debris with pressure from hose if applicable. |
2.) Use compatible car wash soap and begin cleaning the exterior surfaces with a non-marring mitt. Do not let the suds dry on the vehicle, wash only one area/section at a time if needed to keep all soap and surfaces wet. Begin at the top of the vehicle and work downward. | ||
3.) Rinse as necessary and complete a final overall rinse of the vehicle. | ||

2.) Cleaners for stains on fabric, leather, plastic, rubber and carpet MUST be checked before use as not to cause additional damage. Consult with management before attempting stain removal of any kind. | ||
