This exploded diagram shows each component in the 6101 Hose and Wiring Assembly.
Scroll down to see each step of the assembly procedure.
Step 1
Thread the wire though the "flower" washer first and then through the wide end of the handle.
Step 2
Wrap the strain relief around the wire just above where the black wire housing was stripped away and sqeeze it together the best that you can.
Step 3
Getting the strain relief bushing into the "flower" washer can be difficult. More than likely, you do not have strain relief pliers, so you will need to use pliers that you probably do have.
Squeeze the strain relief bushing into the "flower" washer so that the "flower" washer fits into the notch of the strain relief bushing.
Step 4
Plug the wires into the socket. The green/yellow striped wire will only fit onto the grounding clip. The brown wire connector and the blue wire connectors slide onto the prongs of the socket. (It does not matter which one.) Slide the wire through the small end of the handle through the stainless steel pinch clamp, then through the braided silicone hose.
Step 5
Insert the tips of needle-nose pliers into the socket. Insert the socket into the handle while pulling gently at the wire.
Step 6
Rotate the socket in the handle until the hole from the handle lines up with the hole in the socket. While the holes are lined up, insert the screw.
Step 7
This is how everything fits inside the handle. The strain relief bushing inside of the "flower" washer helps prevents the wire from being pulled out of the socket.
Step 8
Insert the small end of the handle into the hose. Slide the stainless steel pinch clamp over the part of the hose that is over the small end of the handle. Crimp the pinch clamp with end cutters. Finally, slide the heat shrink tubing over the pinch clamp and hose and use a heat gun to shrink the tubing.
