Don't take a chance scratching that freshly painted bumper right before final assembly. Use Polyvance's 6076 Bumper Stabilizer to ease assembly and prevent your bumpers from being damaged.

Today's bumpers are much different from those of a decade ago – they are bigger, they often have multiple pieces, and they have huge grilles that make the bumper itself very flimsy and hard to handle. If you're trying to install trim pieces or assemble today's bumpers on a traditional scissor stand, you know how difficult they are to deal with. Don't take a chance scratching that freshly painted bumper right before final assembly. Use Polyvance's 6076 Bumper Stabilizer to ease assembly and prevent your bumpers from being damaged.
Today's bumpers are larger and more complex than ever. Without the grille or trim installed they flop around and are really hard to handle. Traditional scissor stands or fender stands are not designed to support these bumpers. They can easily fall and get scratched, possibly delaying the final assembly and delivery of the vehicle.
Don't take a chance on damaging one of these expensive bumpers! Polyvance's 6076 Bumper Stabilizer is designed to help your technicians support bumpers safely and assist in their repair and assembly. The Bumper Stabilizer attaches easily to your existing scissor stand and provides multiple adjustable anchor spots to safely support today's complex, multi piece bumpers.
The Bumper Stabilizer has six adjustable anchor points and six adjustable bungee cords of various lengths to allow a single technician to safely fixture and assemble bumpers of virtually any size or shape. Take this large three-piece bumper for example. Without the stabilizer, you will struggle to attach the parts as neither one is stable. With the Bumper Stabilizer, you can hang the side pieces of the bumper on the bumper stabilizer's crossbar to ensure that they won't fall off and get damaged. Then with the bumper's lower part secured also with the included bungee cords, you can easily pop the parts together to complete the assembly.
Front bumpers with large grille openings don't have much inherent structure when the grilles are not installed. The grille opening will flex and distort, making it difficult to install the grille. By supporting your bumper on the Stabilizer, you can install the grille and other trim in your freshly painted bumper without fear of scratching or damaging it. The Bumper Stabilizer allows one technician to do the work of two by supporting the bumper during trim assembly and disassembly operations.
This large two-piece bumper requires assembly on the floor or a large table in order to support it all the way across. Even then, it's a struggle to hold the bumper in alignment as you insert the tabs into the slots. Using the Bumper Stabilizer, the bumper is held at a comfortable height for better ergonomics. You can use the bungees to hang both pieces close to each other, allowing one technician to easily assemble or disassemble the two parts.
The Bumper Stabilizer can be used to support a bumper for repair operations, too. For example, it's hard to get a good angle on the dent in the face of this bumper with it on a scissor stand. But by supporting it with the Bumper Stabilizer, you can concentrate on removing the dents with Polyvance's Bumper Rollers, and not be distracted by the bumper itself moving around as you work.
Likewise, small dents can be removed from the face of the bumper using Polyvance's 6450 Bumper Bag while the ends of the bumper are safely supported by the Bumper Stabilizer's bungee cords.
The Bumper Stabilizer is perfect for supporting bumpers while fixturing and prepping them for repair. Often a bumper torn in a high-stress area will be hard to hold together with aluminum tape alone. To assist in the repair process, you can use the bungees in the Bumper Stabilizer to hold the crack together while you fixture, prep, and weld the tear. Here the bumper is held together as it is fusion welded with Polyvance's nitrogen plastic welder.
The Bumper Stabilizer is made in the USA and is easily assembled and attached to one of your shop's scissor stands. The six-foot wide upper arms are wide enough to support the largest truck or SUV bumpers. Use a Polyvance Bumper Mate 2 or a piece of plywood on the top of the scissor stand to provide support. A moving pad, not included, can be used to keep paint from being scratched. This simple and flexible combination of items will be your go-to bumper repair workstation for many years to come.
