John repairs a thermoset polyurethane (PUR) bumper using the airless plastic welder. This type of repair is not a fusion weld repair. It's like a braze or hot melt glue repair. It's very important to not overheat the base material! Thermoset polyurethane is not meltable. Trying to melt the base material can result in damage.
Note: Our Plastic Pointers videos are designed to give quick plastic repair tips and are not meant to be used as tutorials.
