New Video: John Deere Hood Repair - 5213 Agricultural Repair Kit

Last month, we released our 5213 Agricultural Plastic Welding Kit, the first all-in-one kit designed for general agricultural plastic repair. We get calls all the time from farmers around the country asking us how to repair their cracked tanks or broken hoods. We decided to create the 5213 kit to help farmers repair the damaged plastics on their farm equipment and keep their operations running.

To demonstrate how the Agricultural Plastic Welding Kit works, we have just released a video demonstrating a repair on one of the most commonly damaged agricultural plastics – a broken John Deere tractor hood. For this repair, we used our new green polycarbonate welding rod. A similar repair process would be used on other types of plastic using the matching welding rod. The kit comes with seventeen different varieties of welding rods which will match the most common types of plastics used on agricultural equipment.

The 5213 Agricultural Plastic Welding Kit also includes a high-quality hot air welder, a 200-watt airless plastic welder, stainless steel mesh, and several welder tips. It also comes with Polyvance’s Book of Plastic Repair, which includes a plastic ID table and flowcharts to help you identify plastics in case you cannot find the ID symbol.
