Updated Bumper Pliers Tab Repair Kit

UPDATE: JULY 2018

Since the initial release of the 6146 Bumper Pliers Kit, we have made some changes. The kit no longer contains color-coded pliers and dies. The new Bumper Pliers Kit features plated, forged pliers and TIG-welded dies that are 100% made in the USA. The pliers and dies are numbered for easy matching.

Polyvance's new 6146 Bumper Pliers Kit makes it much easier for technicians of any skill level to accurately replicate the shape of the rectangular slot tab. The Bumper Pliers Kit comes with six rectangular steel dies of different widths to match virtually any slot width used on bumpers today. It also comes with a recessed hole die that replicates the detail often used in the wheelwell edge of many bumpers.

The die fills the hole and provides a backer for the welding rod, preventing the melted welding rod from filling the hole. Matching pliers press the melted plastic to the same thickness as the bumper, minimizing refinish time. Final shaping of the outside edge of the tab is all that's required to finish the repair.
