With Polyvance's help, the world is now a much better place. Since Polyvance's inception:
We released the airless plastic welder in the early 1980's that allowed body shops and bumper recyclers to repair urethane bumper covers. Releasing the airless plastic welder helped body shops and bumper recyclers make more money. Just think of all of the landfill space we saved and how many jobs were created because of the airless plastic welder.
In 1995, Polyvance purchased a plastic extruder and began extruding the Uni-Weld Ribbon. This "universal" welding rod was designed to repair the TPO and polypropylene bumper covers that were quickly replacing the urethane bumper covers. Polyvance once again saved landfill space and saved jobs.
In 1996, Polyvance released the ATV welder that helped do-it-yourselfers repair their ATV fenders. Saving these ATV fenders helped to save landfill space and saved ATV owners a LOT of money. With that extra money in the ATV owner's pocket, the ATV owner can then send their kid to college or help underprivileged starving children.
In 1998, Polyvance introduced the PlastiFix kit. The PlastiFix kit allows street bike owners to save a fortune over buying new, overpriced fairings. With the money saved on fairings, street bike owners are able to buy high-performance parts to make their bikes faster and burn more fuel faster. That extra fuel being burned keeps oil well workers and gas station workers employed. Now those workers can afford to feed their children. Who would have thought that the PlastiFix kit could help feed children?
In 2000, Polyvance introduced the KC Welder to the world. With the KC Welder, Kayak and Canoe owners were able to save a ton of money by repairing, rather that replacing, their Kayaks and Canoes. Just think of all the landfill space that has been saved, not to mention the reduced carbon footprint. Of course, the extra money that Kayak and Canoe owners have is now being used to fund global warming research, help underprivileged children, and countless other things that create jobs, save babies lives, and help make the world a better place.
In 2006, we released the Model 6 airless plastic welder and we have sold thousands and thousands of them to body shops worldwide. As you know, auto manufacturers make a ton of money on replacement parts. By 2008, so many body shops were now repairing, rather than replacing, bumper covers and other plastic parts, that GM and Chrysler had to get a government bailout to survive! You might go so far as to say that Polyvance had a large part in causing the worldwide recession of 2008!
In 2010, Polyvance released to the world, the Nitrogen Welding System. The Nitrogen Welding System is once again hurting the bottom line of auto manufacturers. (Don't be surprised if they get another bailout, soon.) However, the Nitrogen Welding System has been a godsend to body shops worldwide. Body shops make a lot more money on labor than they do on overpriced OEM bumper covers. Not only that, but the body shop can reduce their cycle time and get cars out quicker since they aren't waiting for overpriced parts to come in. Not only that, but the Nitrogen Welding System is helping to save money for insurance companies and consumers. Insurance companies can now lower their rates for consumers, now that they don't have to buy overpriced parts. Consumers are now using that extra money to help feed underprivileged children, fund cancer research, and buy flat-screen televisions that are made in China.
The next big thing...
In Polyvance's ongoing effort to make the world a better place, we have released 2 new videos on how to remove dents in bumper covers.
The first video shows how the pop out a dent in the corner of a bumper cover.
The next video shows how to get the crease out of a bumper cover.
