Polyvance provides hands-on and online training courses that will help you properly identify, repair, and refinish automotive plastics.
Polyvance's training organization is accredited by ASE-ATMC as an adult education provider and is an approved I-CAR® Industry Training Alliance® program training provider.
Several of our courses are recognized by I-CAR's Industry Training Alliance® program. Students who successfully complete these approved training courses are eligible to receive I-CAR annual training course credits.
PR-01 — Introduction to Nitrogen Plastic Welding | |
Description | This course provides an introduction to the repair of thermoplastic automotive parts using a nitrogen plastic welder.

Location | Scheduled at your place of business. |
Is it recognized under I-CAR®’s Industry Training Alliance® program? | Yes. Students who complete this training are eligible to receive three (3) I-CAR® annual training credits. Students MUST perform all hands-on activities and complete the pre-test and post-test evaluations. |
Cost | $ 1,000.00 per session for up to three students simultaneously. Depending on location, there may be additional travel expenses. |

PR-02 — Two-Day Plastic Repair & Refinishing | |
Description | This in-depth two-day course will teach students how to repair and refinish automotive plastic parts like bumper covers, headlight tabs, fender liners, fluid reservoirs and more.

Time Required | This is a two-day training course. |
Location | The Polyvance training center in Rainsville, AL. |
Is it recognized under I-CAR®’s Industry Training Alliance® program? | Yes. Students who complete this training are eligible to receive thirteen (13) I-CAR® annual training credits. Students MUST perform all hands-on activities and complete the pre-test and post-test evaluations. |

PR-04 — One Day Plastic Repair & Refinishing | |
Description | This one-day course will teach students how to repair and refinish automotive plastic parts like bumper covers, headlight tabs, fender liners, fluid reservoirs, and more. This course will be a condensed version of our two-day course offered at the factory.

Is it recognized under I-CAR®’s Industry Training Alliance® program? | Yes. Students who complete this training are eligible to receive seven (7) I-CAR® annual training credits. Students MUST perform all hands-on activities and complete the pre-test and post-test evaluations. |
Cost | $ 1,800.00 per session for up to four students simultaneously (assuming two welders and workstations are available at your shop for the training). Depending on location, there may be additional travel expenses. |

PR-05 — Texture Refinishing Course | |
Description | This course will teach technicians the proper process of mixing and spraying texture coating on plastic parts.

Description | This course educates estimators and other collision repair industry professionals on the variables involved in estimating the repair of damaged automotive plastics.

Description | This online course is designed to educate collision damage estimators and other collision repair industry professionals on determining the severity and repairability of damaged plastic parts.

Credit toward I-CAR knowledge areas in certain roles as well as annual training requirements can be awarded by taking one of our I-CAR Training Alliance course activities listed above. Students who successfully complete this approved training are eligible to apply for I-CAR credit hour(s) and/or Knowledge Area recognition.
